My name is Sister Christopher. I entered Religious Life when I was eighteen in 1953. At the time I was living with my mother since my two older sisters were married and my dad had passed away when I was a freshman in high school. There were many factors that entered into my life that helped me to choose religious life. First of all and foremost was the joy I experienced being with the Sisters of Notre Dame throughout grade school and high school. I wanted that kind of joy in my life. The second reason was to fulfill my mothers wish that one of her daughters would become a religious. It was only after I entered that I realized it was a beautiful opportunity to develop my relationship with God.

I celebrated my Golden Jubilee during the summer of 2006. I returned to Cleveland, Ohio, (my hometown) to be with the group that entered the convent at the same time.

I began my teaching ministry in Ohio and then was transferred to California. During the past fifty years I've been a kindergarten and primary teacher, prepared children for the sacraments, directed a large religious education program and was a consultant for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles in the Early Childhood and Elementary programs.
