Experience God's Forgiving Love

During the season of Lent, the Liturgy of the Word often directs us to reflect on our need for forgiveness and on God’s compassionate, forgiving love. Hopefully we not only meditate on forgiving love, but actually experience it.
When we truly know in the depths of our being that our Creator is madly in love with us and all humankind, then we will have experienced who God is. We will learn how to forgive lovingly, tenderly and freely by experiencing the way God treats us when we come asking for pardon for our wrongdoings.
