On Sunday, December 12, 2010 the Sisters of Notre Dame in California officially installed their new provincial, Sister Mary Anncarla Costello and her council. Superior General-elect Sister Mary Kristin Battles participated in her role as outgoing provincial.

AudioGirl Ministries just released a new studio recording of the Living Stations of the Cross which was performed by parishoners of St. Cornelius Parish in Long Beach. Sr. Kathleen Burns is one of the narrators, and Sr. Paulynne Tubick plays the part of Mary, the Mother of Jesus. Proceeds support pro-life efforts.

Notre Dame Academy Elementary School Team Excels at Academic Decathlon

The junior high team took home first place at the Archdiocesan Championships in March and third at State on May 1. Three Sisters of Notre Dame were among the many parents and teachers who cheered the team during the state competition at Xavier College Preparatory High School in Palm Desert. NDAES had the largest group of supporters at the event.

Sunday, April 11, nearly 250 visitors got a rare glimpse inside the cloister at Notre Dame Center in Thousand Oaks. It was a chilly day, but the wonderful design of the center allowed visitors to explore the whole complex without ever going outside.

A Rare Chance to Visit a Cloister

Open House Preview On Sunday, April 11, 2010 the Sisters of Notre Dame are celebrating 30 years of life and service at Notre Dame Center in Thousand Oaks by hosting an Open House from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. This birthday party for the provincial headquarters will include refreshments, exhibits, a raffle drawing and a rare tour of cloistered areas of the convent.
