Women in Formation Visit Ohio
Our new postulant, Jane Leung, traveled to Toledo with Srs. Kris Fuller and Rosaria Parks to gather with 12 other women in formation with Notre Dame provinces in Ohio and Kentucky. The weekend of prayer, reflection, faith sharing and friendship was guided by director of junior sisters Sr. Amy Hauk, formation director Sr. Kathleen Burns and their counterparts. Notre Dame Educational Excellence Takes Students to State Competitions
Congratulations to students at Notre Dame Academy Elementary and La Reina High School who are moving to the state level in their competitive academic endeavors. In March, NDAE won the regional Academic Decathalon. La Reina's Mock Trial team won the Ventura County Championship for the 16th time since 1990. Both teams will compete for state championships in the coming weeks. Stay tuned for more updates!
Associates Share the Notre Dame Spirit through Ministry
SND Associate Nora Howells recently reported that December's No Room at the Inn nativity display and fundraiser earned $30,000 which will be distributed to Ventura County organizations that help people who are homeless. For more details, check out the Ventura County Star.

Sisters of Notre Dame Support Local Habitat for Humanity House
Check out pictures of our recent visit to Habitat for Humanity's home dedication here in Thousand Oaks. Srs. Betty Mae Beinlien, Rebekah Kennedy and Shirley Marie McGovern attended.
The sisters who live at Notre Dame Center provided lunches to volunteers once a month during the build. Sr. Rebekah coordinated service days for La Reina High School seniors who dug trenches and plastered drywall.
Human Trafficking Awareness Campaign Continues
Sisters of Notre Dame supported National Human Trafficking Day 2011 in a variety of ways. Srs. Val Roxburgh and Kris Fuller were in downtown LA for the Freedom Walk and then the Freedom Fair. Check out the highlights at the Freedom Fair Flickr photo gallery or read the article in the Tidings.
In Thousand Oaks, sisters wore white ribbons with blue heart stickers and dedicated their adoration of the Eucharist to the issue of human trafficking. Sr. Shawn Marie Doyle used the ribbon as a 'teachable moment' for her class of third graders.
