Women in Formation Visit Ohio
Our new postulant, Jane Leung, traveled to Toledo with Srs. Kris Fuller and Rosaria Parks to gather with 12 other women in formation with Notre Dame provinces in Ohio and Kentucky. The weekend of prayer, reflection, faith sharing and friendship was guided by director of junior sisters Sr. Amy Hauk, formation director Sr. Kathleen Burns and their counterparts. June 1, 2010 -- Sr. Mary Teresita Keliher was commissioned as a Pastoral Associate during a liturgy at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angeles on May 30. Her current ministry is at St. Philip the Apostle in Pasadena, but Sr. Teresita has also served at Our Lady of the Assumption in Ventura.
May 28, 2010 -- Congratulations to Sr. Mary John Shin who just earned her certificate in Pastoral Care from Loyola Marymount University. She currently serves at Nazareth House and with the Korean speaking community in Oxnard.
May 16, 2010 -- Join us in prayer for the Pentecost Novena to End Human Trafficking. Prayers and links are available at sndca.org/PentecostNovena. Sr. Colette contributed the piece about Uganda. She was joined in this collaboration by Sisters of Notre Dame who serve around the world in the Coesfeld and de Namur congregations. Our Director of Communications, Lisa Helene Donovan, also contributed a reflection about CAST, the Coaltion to Abolish Slavery and Trafficking. We partner with CAST to provide a shelter for women who are victims of human trafficking.

May 10, 2010 -- Sr. Mary Frances Wahl received her Masters in Theology yesterday from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. Her focus was pastoral theology. She currently serves as principal at St. Helen School in South Gate.
May 3, 2010 -- Congratulations to the Notre Dame Academy Elementary School Academic Decathlon Team on placing third at the State Championships in Palm Springs on Saturday.
