June 2008 -- St. Julie Mission in Buseesa, Uganda continues to thrive and grow thanks to the continuing support of Notre Dame donors who contributed to recently completed building projects.  The mission's recently opened computer and science labs are unique to Uganda and provide students with the opportunity to build critical thinking skills. Students also learn modern techniques and programs that will help them find jobs and provide leadership.

Because of intense interest from parents, St. Julie Primary School expanded to include P1 and P2 students as boarders. Notre Dame Academy Senior Secondary School increased its boarding space and hopes to eventually serve 200 students. The second graduating class of S4 students again set high standards on the crucial national exams. Every student scored average or above average, with three receiving the highest possible Division 1 score.
