The Sisters of Notre Dame are one of nine sponsoring congregations of women religious who support South Central Los Angeles Ministry Project (LAMP) to empower the community, which faces high levels of poverty and crime. Various sisters have volunteered at the center, offering pre-school music classes, infant care and ESL support. Today South Central LAMP offers many innovative programs including a child care center that allows parents to take its classes in ESL and parenting. Sr. Mary Judeen Julier SND serves on the Board of Directors.
