The dedicated decathlon team at Notre Dame Academy Elementary in West Los Angeles set its sights on victory this season. Coaches Carrie Sabol and Julie Ruggiero coordinated a preparation regimen that began in September with weekly Friday afternoon practices and eventually grew to include lunches and even occasional weekends or holidays. Such dedication reaped rewards March 18 at the Los Angeles Academic Junior High Decathlon.
